AS4Less Commercial Process
Commercial landscapers divide their companies into 2 sections: new construction and redesign/restoration. For new construction, we are typically presented with plans by either a landscape architect or a G.C. When handling a landscape restoration project we are also presented with plans. Many times a property has been cited by the local city inspector and is now required to bring the property up to specified standards. We go over these plans in detail to understand the full scope of the project. By doing these we can ascertain the skilled labor, equipment, and material needed for us to provide excellent service at a competitive price.
Resources: Material availability is an issue for many commercial landscaping companies and that is why we have partnered with several plant wholesalers and distributors. On our Warehouse, we stock the majority of the A grade materials required to meet the specs outlined in most plans. If we don’t a specific material on-site our office staff is highly experienced in locating practically anything.
Logistics: We very familiar and have become fluent in the art of managing all the moving parts required to complete a large landscaping project on time, on budget, and done right. Whether it’s material delivery, skilled labor availability, or specialized equipment – we’ll handle it.
Experience: Whether you are the property manager of an office building, hospital, restaurant, or school we have the experience to achieve exceptional results. We have working relationships with many city inspectors who are familiar with the checks and balances system cities require. You are in good hands with As4Less Landscaping.
Results: The collective end product of having the resources, logistics, and experience show is the results. We are highly rated commercial landscapers in customer satisfaction. Our online reviews are a testament to the consistency of exceptional results. As4Less Landscaping truly delivers.

Typical Commercial Landscape Project
At a recent project in Miami, Fl we had to perform a week of clean-up to clear overgrown trees, vines, and shrubs. Next, we trimmed all other existing Oak trees. We filled dump-trucks with the debris and hauled it to our dumping site. Next, we leveled the ground with bobcats and laid down 40 sand and gravel for the parking lot area. Next, we designed and installed a new landscape for the front of the building.
This was all performed by our 3 men crew. The project took over a week to complete with stoppage time to meet with Property managers involved.
Q & A
Answers to commonly asked questions from the commercial property owners
What is commercial landscaping?
Commercial landscaping involves the planning, designing, installation, and maintenance of aesthetically appealing outdoor spaces on a property where business takes place. A pleasing work environment is known to increase the output of employees and attract more clients to the business.
Local municipalities specify the number of trees and other landscaping required for businesses to have and ultimately maintain. The amount is usually based on business type, zoning, and square footage.
Do I need a permit to remove or replace trees?
This is different for every city, but as a rule of thumb, a permit is not required to remove a tree if it has a trunk diameter of fewer than 18 inches (measured at a height of 4.5 ft). There are very often instances where a permit is required so it is always best to check with your city’s landscape inspector before removing ANY tree.
For example, a permit is required to remove a ‘street tree’, a ‘historical tree’, or a previously preserved tree. As always, you will need to replace any tree that is removed so that your property ALWAYS has the minimum number of trees required for your property.
How many trees am I supposed to have on my property?
The minimum number of trees required on your property is based on the square footage of the lot and how the property is zoned. For most landscape requirements, you can typically obtain a copy of the Code of Ordinances on the website of the city of which your property is located.
Do palms count as trees on my lot?
Palms generally do not provide a significant canopy. Therefore, the short answer is no. However, in many cases, a landscape inspector may allow you to group palms into a set of 3. Each set of palms meeting the requirements of 1 tree replacement. The palms must also meet certain size requirements, with the minimum clear trunk height starting at a specified height. In most cased palms planted in groupings must be planted with staggered heights.
